"Yeah, I can see that," she answers with another laugh, letting herself be pulled along, but she pauses after a moment and tugs back. "Wait." She lets go of his hand to poke her fingers into her pocket, pulling the flamingo free. For a second she just looks down at it in her palm, then looks up at him, and she's never good at this part, at being genuine and finding the right words. Even before she says anything, she can feel things getting jumbled and she knows the chances of this coming out wrong are pretty high, but she can't not say something.

It's just a little flamingo, but for some reason it means a hell of a lot more.

"This is... it's kind of the nicest thing I think anyone's ever done for me," she tells him, then slips one hand against the back of his neck so she can pull him toward her for a kiss. Maybe it's better to tell him that way just how much it means to her, because just saying it's the nicest thing anyone's ever done doesn't feel like enough.
